Women’s Mental Health Program

The Women's Mental Health Program at UI Health was established to provide excellence in clinical services, professional education, and research specifically for women. It is one of the few programs in Illinois to offer both inpatient and outpatient mental health services specifically for women, including pregnant women.

Nationally recognized by these prestigious organizations:

American Psychiatric Association Logo American Psychiatric Association's Gold Achievement Award for innovative mental health service delivery

ACPAmerican College of Psychiatrists' Award for creativity in psychiatric education

We're dedicated to shaping the future of women's mental health through education. We are proud to offer one of only two physician fellowships in the country designed specifically for women's mental health.

Treatment Approach:

We provide medication management, psychotherapy, couples therapy, and consultation services on an outpatient basis. A special program of the Adult Psychiatry Inpatient unit at the University of Illinois Hospital is designed specifically for patients of the Women's Mental Health Program.
