The Fresh Fruit Cart Returns!

The Fruit Cart, located on the corner of Taylor and Wood Street (between the Outpatient Care Center and the Hospital) is opening this week!
It offers convenient and affordable fresh fruit and vegetables to UI Health patients and staff. The Fruit Cart is dedicated to promoting healthy food options and provides information on healthy eating and exercise.
The weekly hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, weather permitting, until the month of October.
This year Lauren Hughes, a UIC medical student, is launching a $1.00 patient voucher program. The vouchers will be handed out to patients that check out of the Outpatient Care Clinic and can be redeemed for anything on the fruit cart up to $1.00, which on average will buy 2 pieces of fruit.
