The Wound Healing & Tissue Repair Program at UI Health provides the highest quality care to patients with chronic wounds through personalized treatment and a focus on patient-centered outcomes. Our team provides clinical care through the comprehensive evaluation, management, and treatment of all types of chronic, non-healing wounds on both an outpatient and inpatient basis.

UI Health is the only institution to offer a medical fellowship in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair, and under the direction of Dr. William Ennis, each of our clinicians has had extensive training in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of non-healing wounds.

Our Services

The Wound Healing & Tissue Repair Program manages all types of chronic, non-healing wounds, including:

  • Circulatory wounds (arterial, venous, lymphatic)
  • Diabetic foot wounds
  • Pressure wounds
  • Surgical wounds
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Wounds secondary to connective tissue disorders, hematologic abnormalities, and infectious processes
