Treatment Approach

The UI Health Inpatient Psychiatry Unit is a safe, secure environment designed to treat up to 35 individuals. Our unit is staffed by experienced, full-time psychiatrists. They lead treatment teams in these specialty areas:

A skilled team of nurses, mental health counselors, occupational therapists, music therapists, and social workers assists them. All are available to help care for patients and prepare them for their transition home. 

Following a comprehensive assessment, patients will benefit from:
