Dr. Ashley Vareedayah is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and is a practicing gastroenterologist at UI Health. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Saint Louis University and an additional fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at New York University. Dr. Vareedayah is experienced in performing state-of-the-art endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR), double balloon enteroscopy, endoluminal stent placement, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). In addition, he has specialized expertise in third-space endoscopic procedures, including peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) to treat achalasia and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to remove gastrointestinal tumors.
