Dr. Lisa Shimotake is a bariatric and general surgeon at UI Health. Dr. Shimotake specializes in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She has a clinical interest in women's health and obesity medicine. Dr. Shimotake also has an academic interest in surgical medical education and training residents and medical students. She is associate director of the General Surgery Residency Program at UIC.
