Adopting a Child with a Facial Cleft
We want to support our families who are adopting a child with a facial cleft or facial difference. We would be happy to meet with you before the adoption to alleviate any fears and concerns you may have in meeting your child's healthcare needs.
If you have already adopted a child with a facial cleft, we would be happy to meet with you to discuss your child's needs.
We have been caring for children with facial cleft for 70 years and have considerable experience from birth through well into adulthood. The Craniofacial Center at UIC is the only fully dedicated center in the State of Illinois that has the capability of meeting all the needs of a cleft child. It is fully accredited by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
