Resident Forum
At the beginning of each academic year, a Resident Representative election is held. One of the roles of the peer-selected Resident Representatives is to facilitate the Resident Forum, to provide all residents and fellows with a venue where they can anonymously voice concerns about issues that affect all UI Health residents and fellows.
No administrators, staff, faculty, program directors or program coordinators are in attendance at the Resident Forum, so you residents can be completely open and honest about any issues which negatively, or positively, affect your educational and work environments.
The Resident Representatives bring the issues anonymously to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC). Topics currently under discussion include:
- Call rooms
- Information resources
- Laboratory/pathology/radiology services
- Parking
- Patient support services
- Security
- Transport
All residents and fellows are invited to attend.
