Dr. Odile David is the Director of Cytopathology at UI Health. Dr. David is an academic cytopathologist with a special interest in pulmonary pathology. In her clinical practice, she interprets prepared biopsy specimens, fine needle aspiration specimens, pap tests, and other specimen types, such as fluid accumulations from various parts of the body. She provides diagnostic information for the treating physician so that appropriate treatment can be offered in a timely manner. She is a member of teams of physicians and healthcare providers who use laboratory tests to make decisions about the best ways to promote health, healing, and well-being in our patient population. She also is actively involved in translational research and medical education.
