The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System has a brand new Mile Square Health Center and Urgent Care Center at 1220 S. Wood St. (corner of Wood and Roosevelt). The Urgent Care Center provides patients in the community an option for immediate care, avoiding unnecessary trips to the Emergency Room, and is open in the evenings and weekends.
Along with the Urgent Care Center, the new Mile Square facility acts as a one-stop-shop for patient care. From regular doctor visits with a primary care physician, to the Women, Infants, and Children, or WIC Center, to walk in mammography appointments, to filling a prescription, Mile Square Health Center is ready to meet the communities' needs.
