Dr. Marwah Farooqui practices in the Division of Hematology & Oncology at UI Health. Dr. Farooqui is passionate about caring for patients with challenging diseases. In classical hematology, her clinical focus is sickle cell disease; within medical oncology, she specializes in genitourinary cancers and rare malignancies, including sarcoma. Dr. Farooqui has expertise in pain management and supportive care, which are often the most important issues for her patients and their families. She highly values a team approach to the patient-physician relationship and strives to help her patients understand their clinical diagnoses and treatment plan. Dr. Farooqui prides herself on holistic care. Her research focus includes expanding treatment options for sickle cell disease and increasing clinical trial options within her specialty. In addition to direct patient care and research, Dr. Farooqui also has a strong passion for medical education to help improve current gaps in healthcare.
