Nursing Services at the Craniofacial Center

Nurses at the UI Health Craniofacial Center are specifically trained in cleft lip and palate care. Our nurses help provide an introduction to the center and coordinate and oversee a patient's care plan. They make sure patients see all of the appropriate team members in order to receive the best individual care.

Once the patient's care plan is established, the nurse will make sure that the patient and family understand all of the proposed treatment and answers any questions or concerns. They will oversee each step as treatment progresses. Our nursing team also will arrange appointments for imaging or with other craniofacial specialists. They work closely with the craniofacial team to help make sure that all of the patient's needs are met.
