Women’s Mental Health Program
The Women's Mental Health Program at UI Health was established to provide excellence in clinical services, professional education, and research specifically for women. It is one of the few programs in Illinois to offer both inpatient and outpatient mental health services specifically for women, including pregnant women.
Nationally recognized by these prestigious organizations:
American Psychiatric Association's Gold Achievement Award for innovative mental health service delivery
American College of Psychiatrists' Award for creativity in psychiatric education
We're dedicated to shaping the future of women's mental health through education. We are proud to offer one of only two physician fellowships in the country designed specifically for women's mental health.
We provide medication management, psychotherapy, couples therapy, and consultation services on an outpatient basis. A special program of the Adult Psychiatry Inpatient unit at the University of Illinois Hospital is designed specifically for patients of the Women's Mental Health Program.
Our clinicians are experts in caring for women with mental health disorders. Every clinician on our team has expertise, skills, and credentials to care for women with mood and anxiety disorders. Our team includes psychiatrists and social workers, in addition to psychiatrists-in-training, psychologists-in-training, and social workers-in-training.
